Blue Apatite Stone For Sale

Apatite Rough Gems:

Apatite is a naturally occurring gemstone, unknown to the public but highly valued by collectors in its many different colors and forms. The most common gem is a flexible to semiprecious gem that is slowly growing in popularity among the jewelry industry.

It is basically known for its asparagus green color but is available in many different colors, from colorless to pink, yellow, blue to violet. The cost of stones increases with the intensity of the color. The best apatite is neon blue with clear clarity. The color of the best examples of this genus competes with the popular Paraiba tourmalines, and Apatite is available for only a fraction of the price of Paraiba.

Apatite Color:

Apatite is available in colors ranging from colorless to pink, yellow, blue to violet. Brazilian Apatite has a rich blue color. Recent discoveries of the so-called "neon" Apatite in Madagascar add to the popularity of the gemstone. Neon is a blue stone with a nice texture, usually close to the beautiful Paraiba Tourmaline in color. The dark-yellow-green varieties are sometimes called "asparagus stone".

Apatite Clarity:

Apatite is commonly found in sedimentary, metamorphic, igneous, and volcanic rocks. Apatite can regulate sedimentary processes in which erosion is formed due to collision of waves. It may also develop during igneous processes (e.g., Plutonism), metamorphic processes, and underwater fissure also known as hydrothermal vents. It can also be the production of an organic system in some cases. It is one of the few minerals created and used by small natural networks. Apatite is commonly found in violet, pink, yellow, blue, brown, green and colorless form.

Apatite Cut:

Apatite is cut from many well-known and widely used spirits of gemstones and cuts, such as ovals, cushions, heart shapes, pears, emerald cuts, squares and circles. Gemmy apatite crystals can be cut with a facet but the softness gives a cabochon cut. Variations of chatoyant or "cat's eye" apatite are often cut from the cabochon.

Apatite Carat:

Conventional apatite cuts for the jewelry industry include a wide variety of shapes and sizes. The gem is reasonable in smaller sizes, but prices rise for gems above ten carats. The rarest and smallest in general, violet stones usually fall under 2 carats.
