A cabinet sized specimen of Microcline Feldspar with Smoky Quartz from Pakistan is a striking and visually captivating mineral combination. The Microcline Feldspar, known for its blocky, well-formed crystals, typically exhibits a pale to light greenish color, often referred to as Amazonite when the green hue is prominent. These crystals are robust and display a vitreous to pearly luster, adding a subtle sheen to the piece. Interspersed among the Microcline are dark, smoky quartz crystals, which provide a dramatic contrast with their deep, translucent brown to nearly black coloration. The Smoky Quartz crystals are usually well-formed, with sharp terminations that enhance the overall aesthetic appeal. The combination of these minerals creates a harmonious blend of color and form, making this specimen a prized piece for collectors.

Microlite Description:

Microlite Minerals become once referred to as light-yellow, reddish-brown, or black isometric minerals composed of sodium calcium tantalum oxide with a small quantity of fluorine. Its chemical formula is (Na, Ca)2Ta2O6(O, OH, F). Nowadays it’s far a call for a collection of oxide minerals of a similar stoichiometry having tantalum prevailing over titanium and niobium.

The microlite organization belongs to a large pyrochlore super group that takes place in pegmatite's and constitutes an ore of tantalum. Microlite was first defined in 1835 for an occurrence at the Island of Uto, state of Stockholm, Sweden. Some other prevalence of microlite is the Clark Ledges pegmatite, Chesterfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. The name is from Greek micros for small and lithos for stone.
