Quartz Cluster is a widely distributed mineral of many types that consists generally of silica, or silicon dioxide (SiO2). Minor impurities including lithium, sodium, potassium, and titanium may be present. Quartz has attracted attention from the earliest times; water-clean crystals had been recognized by the ancient Greeks as krystallos—as a result, the call crystal, or greater normally rock crystal, applied to this range. Quartz Color:
Rock crystal is white, citrine yellow, amethyst purple, and rose quartz are pink. Brown or green transparent types are also available. One variety, ametrine, is a part purple and component yellow. An example of citrine quartz crystal.
Quartz Clarity:
Quartz Cluster and specimens range in clarity from almost complete transparency to a brownish-gray crystal that is almost opaque. some can also be black. The translucency results from natural irradiation appearing on minute traces of aluminum in the crystal structure.
Quartz Origin:
Rock crystal quartz is discovered widely allotted, a number of the extra superb localities being: the Alps; Minas Gerais, Brazil; Madagascar; and Japan. The best quartz crystals from the United States are located at HotSprings, Arkansas, Little Falls, and Ellenville, New York. It is also found in Skardu District, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan.
