Selenite Minerals

Selenite is a transparent and colorless to white variety of the mineral gypsum, known for its satin-like sheen, fibrous structure, and calming energy. It is one of the most popular crystals in metaphysical and healing practices, prized for its high vibrational energy and cleansing properties. Selenite forms in evaporite deposits, where bodies of water rich in calcium and sulfate evaporate, allowing gypsum (including selenite) to crystallize. It is often associated with halite (salt), anhydrite, and sulfur. The Naica Mine in Mexico is one of the most famous sources of selenite, where some crystals reach lengths of over 10 meters (33 feet).
