Titanite is a rare titanium mineral that happens as an accessory mineral in granitic and calcium-wealthy metamorphic rocks. It is a minor ore of titanium and a minor gemstone called “sphene.”

Titanite Color:

Titanite is mostly found in Yellow, Green, and Brown colors. They can also find Gray. Sometimes they are found in sharp colors like Pink, Red, and Orange. 

Titanite Clarity:

Titanite is transparent to translucent in skinny pieces, showing a dispersion of light rays extra intense than diamond.

Titanite Origin:

They found in Pakistan; Italy; Russia; China; Brazil; Tujetsch, St. Gotthard, Switzerland; Madagascar; Tyrol, Austria;  Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada; Sanford, Maine, Gouverneur, Diana, Rossie, Pitcairn, Brewster, New York, and California in the US.

Titanite Carat:

Very rare in clean stones over 5-10 carats, even 5-carat perfect sphene could make a rare, best stone. Indian material normally cuts to about 10 carats, Madagascar material to possibly 15 carats. Brazilian yellow stones over 5 carats are scarce. Sri Lankan gems usually range under 10 carats. Myanmar has produced stones of over 20 carats. But, Mexico has the capability to produce some of the biggest faceted gemstones.
