This rare specimen features a stunning combination of Vorobyevite, a variety of alkali beryl, perched on a vibrant Rubellite Tourmaline crystal. Hailing from the mineral-rich regions of Afghanistan, the piece showcases a remarkable interplay of colors and textures. The Vorobyevite, known for its soft bluish to greenish hues, contrasts beautifully against the deep pink to reddish tones of the Rubellite, creating a striking visual display. This natural formation is prized not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its geological significance, as both minerals are relatively uncommon in such a perfect association. The sharp crystal formations and the high clarity of the Tourmaline enhance the overall allure of this rare and exquisite piece, making it a collector's dream.

Vorobyevite is a rare alkali Beryl variety containing Cesium that are found in limited localities around the world. It was first discovered as colorless ones in Russia, and its name also applied to rosy colored and colorless alkali Beryls from Madagascar. There was a relatively new found at the Afghanistan locality several years ago, and those tend to have beautiful celestial blue colors. Crystals may be recently "discovered", but in actuality they have existed long before and quite ancient.
